Lawyers' Fine Print on Adventure
The setup
The premise
Here’s the bit.
Two adventurers in a fedora and a leather jacket slip into a tomb to claim the golden vessel of the Egyptian prince Ramses. When they reach for it, a booming voice promises a thousand plagues, but a whispering lawyer keeps interrupting with corrections: Egypt lacks the resources it once had, its laws have changed, human rights now apply, and even a verbal curse requires a signed waiver. Each threat shrinks: the thousand plagues become five hundred years, then two plagues put to a vote, and finally a stubbed toe every other day. Unimpressed, the pair leave with the vessel; one promptly stubs his toe, and the gloating prince loses a vase of his own.

Say it with us
Highly quotable.
I'm being told Egypt does not have the resources they once had.
Don't make me come out there and curse you! With words—
I hope it's worth the price you pay, which is a guarantee you will stub your toe every day!

A little extra
Notes from the archive.
Matt Meese is credited in the official cast list but is not seen on screen; the prince and his whispering lawyer are heard only as off-screen voices. Studio C posted the sketch on YouTube on August 24, 2018, before its October 1, 2018 broadcast in Season 9 Episode 4.
