Returning to the news desk as an arts and leisure correspondent, Bill Murray displays a board of Oscar nominees and briskly eliminates candidates with deliberately flimsy reasoning. He then discards the official contest and invents awards of his own, rearranging the board to honor the film work of his former SNL colleagues. His friends collect the acting prizes, Caddyshack takes best picture thanks to a family connection, and Garrett Morris receives a final honorary award.
