The premise
Here’s the bit.
When a cursed princess is carried off by a wizard, a scrawny knight volunteers to rescue her. The lute-playing narrator refuses to accept this unlikely hero and uses his story to pile on a robber, injuries and impossible obstacles. The knight keeps arguing with the tale itself as he crawls toward the castle, leaving the narrator struggling to control his own ending.
