The premise
Here’s the bit.
A host in a brown suit, cigarette in hand, introduces Amazing Tales of Truth, a show about unbelievable things that happen to ordinary people. In a hospital room, a daughter refuses to accept the doctor's verdict that her father will not wake from his coma and sings to him instead. When she asks whether it worked, the host steps in to say it did not: the man was hit by a bus, and the one truly amazing event that day, a man briefly floating in Croatia, was never caught on camera. The second tale finds a family mourning their dog Rocky on the front porch until an identical dog wearing his collar bounds up to them. The host returns, aware the sketch is still going, to reveal that it was a different dog that had dug up Rocky's grave and eaten part of him, and signs off by reminding viewers that unbelievable things are not always good ones.

This dog had their dog's collar because it actually just dug up their dog's grave. I know. You know, ate some of the body, too. It's terrible. Terrible couple of days for this family. You see, every day, somewhere in the world, something unbelievable happens to someone. And for these people, that unbelievable thing was that a dog that looks like their dead dog dug up and ate their dead dog. Unbelievable things aren't always cool and good, no. Sometimes they're bad and nasty. But maybe it won't be. Next time on...
