The premise

Here’s the bit.

Three writers are idly brainstorming a sketch about the midterms when cable news announces that their coworker Molly has been elected Ohio's attorney general off the back of a half-joking tweet. A map-wielding correspondent and a news anchor trace the unlikely campaign while the friends appoint themselves chiefs of staff and race to remake Molly with a suit, a haircut and a staged family. Every attempt to find a platform collapses into nonsense, an attack ad piles on, and the countdown to the victory speech ends with a speech that goes about as well as predicted, followed by a deadpan epilogue.

The funny people

Meet the cast. 6

Say it with us

Highly quotable.

Brother, I don't pass the bar, I only go in.

Molly Kearney is a delusional alcoholic and a nearly 40-year-old SNL stagehand.

I may not have a law degree, but what I do have is a real big heart.
