The premise

Here’s the bit.

Six friends swap stories about a dog's strange diet and rave about the food until one of them brings up a controversial news article. Each guest who tries to offer an opinion is cut off by nervous warnings from the others, and the more careless the take, the more unsettling the fallout becomes, with nosebleeds, an occult book and a heavy-metal cutaway. After a few failed attempts the group pleads to return to safer topics, and ends up nervously reaching for a movie to discuss instead.

No, I'm telling you, this dog eats anything.

  2. 00:04

    He ate steel wool.

  3. 00:06

And then he pooped silver for three days.

  4. 00:09

    That's insane.

  5. 00:10

    It's our life.

  6. 00:12

You know, what's insane are these roasted carrots.

  7. 00:15

    They are so good.

  8. 00:17

    Oh, everything here is good.

  9. 00:18

The New York Times restaurant review raved about this place.

  10. 00:21

You know, speaking of the Times,

  11. 00:24

did any of you guys read that op-ed piece about...

  12. 00:26

    Honey, no.

  13. 00:27

What article are you talking about?

  14. 00:29

    The one about Aziz Ansari?

  15. 00:43

    We

  16. 00:48

    I'm sorry, we

  17. 00:48

    can talk about something else.

  18. 00:50

I was just curious what everyone thought, but...

  19. 00:52

No, no, no, of course. We can, uh...

  20. 00:56

We can talk about it. Yeah.

  21. 00:58

I mean, I think we should.

  22. 01:00

    We absolutely should.

  23. 01:03

    Well, let's come to this.

  24. 01:05

    I'll go first.

  25. 01:06

Are you sure you want to do this?

  26. 01:08

Yes, yes. I will speak on the topic of Aziz Ansari.

  27. 01:13

    I think...

  28. 01:16

    -"Careful"?

  29. 01:18

-"Yeah. I-I think that some women...

  30. 01:23

    careful.

  31. 01:25

Or, uh, rather, um, some men have a proclivity."

  32. 01:31

    -"Careful"?

  33. 01:34

    -"Help me."

  34. 01:36

    -"Okay, sure.

  35. 01:37

Uh, well, while I applaud the movement...

  36. 01:41

    -"Watch it."

  37. 01:44

    Noted.

  38. 01:44

It's just that I wonder if maybe we're setting it back.

  39. 01:49

    God, careful.

  40. 01:51

    Okay.

  41. 01:51

Oh, I-I feel that powerful men almost always abuse.

  42. 02:00

    Nope!

  43. 02:01

    Okay, um, look.

  44. 02:04

The thing that I keep going back to is,

  45. 02:10

It seems like, if she wanted to leave...

  46. 02:16

    Oh, no.

  47. 02:19

    ...she could have just...

  48. 02:21

    Oh, no.

  49. 02:23

    ...left.

  50. 02:24

    left

  51. 02:35

    everyone stop we can talk

  52. 02:49

We can talk about this. We are adults.

  53. 02:52

Can't we just go back to the dog?

  54. 02:54

We were happy when we were talking about the dog.

  55. 02:57

Honey, the time for talking about the dog is over.

  56. 02:59

We are in a post-Babe.net universe now,

  57. 03:01

and we have to finish what we started.

  58. 03:03

    Tom, go.

  59. 03:05

    Okay, fine.

  60. 03:06

    The Me Too movement, pass.

  61. 03:09

    Okay, consent, pass.

  62. 03:11

    Damn it!

  63. 03:12

Okay, if I were with a woman and she seemed at all uneasy,

  64. 03:19

I would just slow my rolls.

  65. 03:22

    Are good.

  66. 03:24

Okay, what I think we're forgetting...

  67. 03:27

    Oh, no.

  68. 03:29

...is the way that this intersects

  69. 03:32

    with the issue of...

  70. 03:33

-"Oh, God. Oh, God. Oh, God."

  71. 03:37

    Race? -"No!"

  72. 03:39

    -"I

  73. 03:54

    I

  74. 03:55

    -I can't do this anymore.

  75. 03:56

We have to talk about something else."

  76. 03:58

    -"Yes." -"Yes."

  77. 03:59

    -"Yes, something less controversial."

  78. 04:02

-"Okay, um, uh, Shape of Water had problems, right?"

  79. 04:06

    -"Watcha, watcha, watcha."

  80. 04:09

    -"Hey, where's my wife?"
