The premise
Here’s the bit.
At a neighborhood bar near Toronto, Jim Carrey is greeted by a waitress and then by a stream of relatives, each of whom seems to have absorbed one of his screen personas. Cousin Jay revives Ace Ventura's signature catchphrase and insists he thought of it first before signing off with a Truman Show-style farewell, while young Percy claims to be a serious skateboarder but slips into Ace's drawn-out pronunciation of 'loser'. John and Rita, who drove in from Scarborough, bicker in loud Hawaiian shirts until Jim tries to calm everyone down with beer and a Maple Leafs game. When the cable goes out, the repairman behind the bar turns out to be Eddie Torres, who notes that people once thought he was overpaid but have since come around to him. Aunt Kay pops up fresh from an arson stint, Cousin Wayne bursts in from the deck in full Mask costume tossing out the Mask's catchphrases, and when Grandpa Lloyd, played by Carrey's Dumb and Dumber partner Jeff Daniels, asks about Hollywood, Jim grumbles about being stuck with difficult co-stars on sequels, prompting Lloyd to threaten his famously grating noise. The reunion ends with a family toast and group photo, joined by a Riddler.
