The premise

Here’s the bit.

A mother gathers her family to give thanks, but her coworker Harriet arrives without an invitation and takes over the conversation. Harriet’s husband Wendell appears outside the dining-room window, pleading with her and airing their private disputes for everyone to hear. His increasingly elaborate interruptions leave the family struggling to salvage dinner, while Harriet devises an unconventional way to rejoin him.
