The premise
Here’s the bit.
Connie brings her broken glasses to Lensmasters, where Sebastian and Roland immediately ridicule her taste. They offer increasingly impractical frames, squeezing her face and contorting her posture to make the designs fit. When she finally asks for her old pair back, the clerks have one more unwelcome surprise, then return to admiring their own eyewear.
