The premise

Here’s the bit.

Ken Mortimer relies on Donald the falcon to keep them fed in the forest. Donald flies into town and receives a lavish restaurant welcome, indulging in wine and several courses while his hungry companion waits. He then visits Ken’s ex-wife and stays the night. Only on his way back does he catch a rat for the Falconer, who mistakes this meager delivery for a remarkable act of loyalty.
