Funeral
The setup
The premise
Here’s the bit.
At the funeral of local dentist Robert E. P. Thorpe, a priest (Chevy Chase) launches into a lofty tribute to the man's civic and parish virtues, only to be ambushed by hiccups that break up nearly every phrase. The mourners leave their seats one after another with remedies: a glass of water, a sneak attack from behind, a sudden kiss, pinches and thumps, and finally a whole pitcher of water poured over his head. Dripping, the priest presses on with the eulogy until a veiled mourner comes forward to mime her own cure.

Highly quotable.
A good husband, a good father, a good provider, and a good dentist.
He will be sorely missed when Little League season starts in a couple of weeks.

For he was a man of many facets, a good husband, a good father, a good provider, and a good dentist. But he was also much more, a more responsible businessman a member of the Lions Club, an outstanding citizen of the community. Someone who gave more than mere lip service to the biblical injunction of love thy neighbor, who willingly gave and selflessly to his church and community. I think I personally remember Bob Best as an active member of this parish who never forgot the yearly tithe. and
