The premise
Here’s the bit.
David Thomas arrives for a management-training interview, but the man behind the desk tests his reactions to contradictory greetings, unexplained bells and strange faces. When Thomas finally responds in kind, four judges appear to score his performance. His angry protest earns another round of marks, before he discovers the promised job was never available.
