Dee Dee: Yoker

On his way to the job centre, Dee Dee sees passengers from a broken-down bus boarding a service to Yoker and decides to join them. The driver waves him on, but his unfamiliar destination becomes an elaborate adventure in his imagination. He worries that the other passengers will spot him as an outsider and studies the local shop names for clues. At the terminus, he has five minutes to explore before the bus leaves. A question about barber Les Porter’s name gets an uncomfortable silence, sending Dee Dee racing back to the bus and hiding upstairs. He returns home convinced he has had an extraordinary experience.
