The premise

Here’s the bit.

A small group joins hands in a suburban living room while their leader asks the Lord how they can better help the poor and the suffering. A shaft of light bursts through the coffee table and a booming heavenly voice announces that their prayers have been answered, and the group erupts in joy. The rapture fades when the voice tells them to give away every possession and devote themselves to the needy, and one member nervously checks whether that really means everything. Once the answer is confirmed, the faithful abruptly agree that the house must be haunted and stampede for the door, leaving the light glowing in an empty room as the voice wryly notes their excuse.
