The premise

Here’s the bit.

As the Founding Fathers gather to sign the Second Amendment, Congressman Peele interrupts with an unsettling hypothetical about a weapon that could kill dozens of people in seconds. The presiding founder mocks the question as a strange attempt at humour, so Peele reveals he has travelled back from the future to stop the amendment and opens fire on the assembly with two automatic weapons. His guns vanish as the timeline shifts, but two surviving framers are so taken with the 'muskets' they just saw that they hurry to sketch them, and Peele's weapons reappear in his hands even bigger than before.

The funny people

Say it with us

Highly quotable.

What if someone made a gun that could shoot, say, 50 people in 30 seconds?

Because I am from the future.

Hand me the quill so I can draw them before I forget.

Behind the scenes

The people who made it.

A little extra

Notes from the archive.

The A.V. Club's review of the episode described the sketch as a Terminator-style time-travel story set during the drafting of the Bill of Rights.
