The premise
Here’s the bit.
In a dim, abandoned warehouse, a stone-faced gangster shoots a pleading captive tied to a chair, and his partner in the beanie immediately doubles over with laughter. The shooter demands to know what the joke is, and his partner can only insist that the killing itself is the punchline. Unconvinced, the shooter accuses him of faking it, then tries to find the humor on his own by listing everything the young victim will now never have, which only drains the fun out of the moment for his partner. After another shot at the body draws only scorn, one final gunshot gives the puzzled shooter the laugh he has been missing.
