The premise

Here’s the bit.

Chained in a cell, Guy Fawkes laughs off his jailer's demand to name his accomplices, and the story cuts to a blockbuster-style trailer for 'Fawkes' 13'. Freeze-frame title cards introduce the crew one by one: Fawkes the explosives expert, John Wright the persuader and Robert Catesby the brains, whose scheme to roll barrels of gunpowder down the Thames and blow up King James is recited back in full by a doubtful Fawkes. Needing a thirteenth member, the plotters recruit Francis Tresham, billed as the idiot, who promptly writes to warn a relative in Parliament. The trailer's tagline promises a plot that went horribly wrong, and back in the cell Fawkes learns exactly what punishment awaits him.

The funny people

Say it with us

Highly quotable.

Any reason or just for fun?

Come on, isn't 13 an unlucky number?

Don't worry, I'm sure it'll go off without a hitch.

A little extra

Notes from the archive.

The trailer is a parody of the Ocean's heist films, specifically Ocean's 13.

The rabbit hole continues

One more couldn’t hurt.
