The premise

Here’s the bit.

At Death’s check-in desk, Edmund II insists on being seen ahead of the other arrivals because sitting down is painfully difficult. The king explains how an ordinary trip to a Saxon latrine turned into a fatal encounter with a concealed Viking. Death’s formal questions give way to delighted laughter, leaving Edmund to make an undignified exit while the waiting line moves on.

Highly quotable.

I love a good toilet death story. Go on.

You’re dead funny!

A little extra

Notes from the archive.

This first-series version of Death’s waiting room uses a check-in desk and a metal-detector-style gateway. The skeleton assistants were introduced in Series 2.
