The premise

Here’s the bit.

At the Quad Cities Times, weather reporter Tom Merkin confronts editor Wheeler over changes to his forecasts. Tiny differences in wording become accusations of sensationalism and a crisis in their long friendship. Wheeler responds with remorse and a resignation, until Merkin threatens to leave with him. Their grand reconciliation ends with another complaint about editorial phrasing.
