The premise

Here’s the bit.

In an empty corner of a fire station, a helmeted firefighter drops down the brass pole and, instead of rushing off to a call, lingers to treat it like a strip-club prop: hugging it, sliding along it, flinging his arms wide and pulling exaggerated faces of rapture. After half a minute of wordless writhing he composes himself and hurries out, leaving the pole standing alone.

A little extra

Notes from the archive.

The fireman is played by Simon Greenall, credited on IMDb as Fireman in two 1998 episodes; he later voiced the Compare the Market meerkats. The wordless gag aired in the fifth episode of the first series.
