The premise

Here’s the bit.

A cinema audience watches a drama while Mr. Heavyfoot begins the laborious process of getting out of his seat. His dragging steps carry him slowly across the auditorium as the other patrons leave. The film finishes, the curtains close and an attendant starts tidying the empty cinema, yet he is still hauling himself along the rows, lifting his legs with his hands as he works toward the exit.
