The premise

Here’s the bit.

Jack interrupts a wedding reception to tell his childhood friend Emily that they belong together. When she explains that she has already married someone else, he tries to escape the embarrassment by claiming that his speech was a rehearsal for a play. The newlyweds and their guests eagerly offer acting advice, while the groom suggests casting himself in the romantic lead. Jack finally drops the cover story and makes another sincere appeal, leaving the groom to deliver a quiet, decisive response.
