The premise

Here’s the bit.

Fresh from exposing the Lakeside Campgrounds sea monster as owner Mr. Walters, Fred, Daphne, Velma and Shaggy expect the usual grumbling confession. Instead their captive fixates on Scooby-Doo, insisting that a dog who talks, drives, swallows whole sandwiches and does detective work must be some ancient evil wearing a pet's form. The gang breezily defends their best friend even as Scooby rises into the air, until Walters flees in terror and begs the police to arrest him.

Say it with us

Highly quotable.

Scooby-Doo even sounds like the name of an ancient, malevolent creature.

We all had the same nightmare and woke up and instinctively knew what his name was.

You are the ancient one, Scoobidus Moobidus.
