The premise

Here’s the bit.

Presented as a classic Bulgarian children's film for SCTV's after-school slot, the story begins on the last day of school, when Pepi Longsocks is held back after leaping so hard he cracks the classroom ceiling. His classmates gleefully run off to play jump the weeds without the strange boy. At home over a pot of hot potatoes, his father tries to cheer him with a feeble potato gag and gently reminds him that his super strength has already cost him half his classmates. Pepi resolves to stay calm and brings the other children an armful of greenery as a peace offering, but they mock his size and his spots until he snaps, scoops all five of them up and flings them over a giant haystack. With nobody left to make him angry, he happily plays jump the weeds by himself.

Say it with us

Highly quotable.

Look at that, I'm a potato.

I should crush their heads like nuts. Like nuts, I tell you.

Remember, you had ten classmates last year, and now you have but five.
