The setup
The premise
In the middle of the night, a mustached ghost appears at a man's bedside, explaining that the success of the Ebenezer Scrooge visits has his employer pushing for more life-changing hauntings. Without the budget for graveyard visions, the ghost can only offer familiar proverbs, and the unimpressed man points out that he has already heard every one of them. Desperate not to be sent back to hell, the ghost keeps trying until he learns he may have caused the death of the man's grandfather. A second ghost turns up with a stack of his own sayings, but the two spirits soon give up on their boring subject in favor of haunting a supermodel, leaving the man's late grandpa to arrive with a much more practical correction.
