The premise

Here’s the bit.

In a radio studio, Orson Welles stands at the microphone and solemnly reads a horror tale about a professor working late in his study. The sound-effects man beside him starts out rattling bottles and props on cue, but as soon as the story's monster bursts through the door, a real creature in a scaly suit comes after him instead. Each line Welles reads is enacted on the hapless technician, who is throttled, wrestled and flung around the studio and finally dragged off through the door, while Welles keeps reading from his script and calmly signs off the episode.
