Orson Welles Guest Star
The setup
The premise
Here’s the bit.
Dan Rowan and Dick Martin announce a Halloween edition devoted to the occult arts and bring out a caped, top-hatted Orson Welles, who trades a few barbs with his hosts. When the talk turns to sorcery, the old conjuror's magic word is waved off as nonsense, and saying it brings a sandbag crashing down onto the stage. Written off as coincidence, the word is spoken again and Martin vanishes on the spot, so Welles and Rowan say it themselves to follow him, leaving an empty stage and an offscreen welcome from wherever they have landed.

Say it with us
Highly quotable.
Tonight's a very special show in honor of Halloween. We're going to deal with all the occult arts: witchcraft, sorcery, ghosts.
I agree with the great stature, but I'm not too impressed with the figure.
Well, we'd better do it now, or we'll never get him back.
