The premise
Here’s the bit.
Sheriff Hicks permits a pair of podcasters to observe his department’s murder investigation. Darren and Dana immediately turn routine police work into a mournful audio narrative, accompanied by musicians who score each exchange. Their account grows more dramatic as they invent implications, stage background sounds and interrupt objections with an advertisement. When the officers discover that the visitors have planted evidence, the podcast crew ends up behind bars, where a sponsor delivery and the theme music continue.
