The premise

Here’s the bit.

A Confederate officer addresses his fellow Civil War reenactors about preserving Southern heritage. Two Black men arrive dressed as enslaved people and insist on joining in, forcing him to explain which aspects of the past his group wants to recreate. Their exaggerated deference repeatedly derails his speech until his irritation exposes the prejudice behind the pageantry. With that admission secured, the visitors abruptly drop their act and rob the group of cash and valuable memorabilia.
