The premise

Here’s the bit.

Framed as a breathless action-show promo, this pretape introduces a shaven-headed police officer with gold paint on his nose who pursues criminals with a tambourine as well as a badge and seeks inner peace along with law and order. When he is gunned down in an alley, his grieving partner Jake mourns him, only to be pestered by a boy in a police uniform who turns out to be his reborn partner, now going by Officer Timmy. The narrator promises the hero will keep returning until the streets are safe, and a quick montage proves it as the shootouts continue: he pops up behind a dumpster as an elderly cleaver-wielding officer and then as a bearded Hasidic officer, before the chase carries on with a dog and finally a cow.

Say it with us

Highly quotable.

He was a peace officer, but he wanted more than just peace on the streets, he wanted peace in his eternal soul.

He's got more soul than James Brown, and more lives than Shirley MacLaine.

The rabbit hole continues

One more couldn’t hurt.
