Richard Simmons' Shed-A-Bed Diet Program

A manic Richard Simmons introduces his latest weight-loss scheme and brings out its proudest success story, Amoeba Standstill, a woman so enormous she cannot leave her bed. As Simmons hovers over her, sobbing and cheering, she describes how food once ruled her life, celebrates trading her king-size bed for a queen, and daydreams about sunbathing on a tropical beach, until an alarming swimsuit emerges from the covers. Her biggest payoff is personal: the husband she believed walked out on her years ago has been stuck beneath her the whole time. Simmons closes with the program's slogan as the reunited couple settles back in under the sheets.
