The person behind the punchline
A little backstory.
“Weird Al” Yankovic is an American musician, comedian and writer known for song parodies, original comic songs and polka medleys. His recordings include Eat It, Smells Like Nirvana and White & Nerdy. He has won five Grammy Awards, and Mandatory Fun became a number-one album in 2014.
Yankovic co-wrote and starred in UHF, hosted television comedy through AL TV and The Weird Al Show, and served as bandleader on Comedy Bang! Bang! He also co-wrote Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, a deliberately exaggerated film biography. His work brings musical parody and character comedy into recordings, live shows, film and television.
