The person behind the punchline
A little backstory.
Jenna Ortega is an American actress from Rancho Mirage, California, who began working on screen as a child. She played the young Jane Villanueva on Jane the Virgin and led the Disney Channel comedy Stuck in the Middle before horror roles in Scream (2022), X and Scream VI earned her a reputation as a modern scream queen.
Her title performance in the Netflix horror comedy Wednesday brought her international recognition. She hosted Saturday Night Live for the first time in March 2023, bringing that horror pedigree to sketches such as Exorcism.
