The premise

Here’s the bit.

Host Aisha Tyler sets up a six o'clock news broadcast with Colin Mochrie as the anchor and gives each of his colleagues a secret twist. Colin introduces himself with a pun name and reads a top story about a cloning scientist that ends in a groan-worthy punchline. Jeff Davis, as a co-anchor who is also a plumber trying to seal every leak in Colin, reports on a missing dog while wedging cough drops into Colin's nostrils. Wayne Brady's sportscaster turns his preview into a frantic Las Vegas weekend, betting ever larger sums, losing his grandmother's money and ending up begging for it back. Ryan Stiles's weather forecaster acts out an entire war film in thirty seconds, using the piano as a bunker and a microphone stand as a rifle before a dramatic death, and Aisha awards points for the emotional performances and for Colin putting up with the cough drops.
