Don't Let Tim Conway Fix Your Stuff
The setup
The premise
Here’s the bit.
With a performance approaching, a violinist brings his heirloom instrument to Mr. Fixit's shop for a small adjustment. The repairman treats it like another household appliance, offering substitutes and taking phone calls while his customer watches in alarm. Sawing, hammering and a threatening dog make the repair look increasingly hopeless. When the violin finally appears to be restored, a routine bit of paperwork puts the customer's relief to the test.
