The premise

Here’s the bit.

After a Wonder Woman-style spinning introduction for Wonder-Gran, Benny Hill's elderly Dracula keeps having his evening plans spoiled by his formidable wife and sets off in search of a fresh neck. Every attempt goes wrong: one woman simply hands him her newspaper to read, a promising beauty turns out to be a shop dummy, a sneeze sends his false fangs into a stranger's handbag, and climbing up to a girls' college window ends with him dragged along the drive behind a departing car. A passing nurse strips off her uniform to bandage his injuries, but when he goes for her throat a policeman radios for Wonder-Gran, and a speeded-up chase through the grounds pulls in branch-waving officers, the Water Police and the Police Special Branch. Cornered, Wonder-Gran wards him off by holding up a photograph of Nicholas Parsons instead of a crucifix, and Dracula escapes to a swimming pool to try one last sunbather before the mob catches up and the chase continues over the end credits.

Notes from the archive.

This was Wonder-Gran's first appearance; Sue Upton played the pensioner superheroine again when she took on Mr Hyde in a later Benny Hill Show sketch.
