Who's More Over Their Ex?

A smug host welcomes Amy and Julian to a game show about getting over a breakup. Amy insists she and Aiden are only on a break after she overreacted to him kissing someone at a party, while Julian claims he's thriving since Maggie moved to San Francisco and plugs his new social networking app. In the opening round each waits for a call from an ex, and Julian grabs his phone first, only to find the host on the line. The challenges get crueler: Amy can't chat with her friend Melanie without fishing for news about Aiden, Julian is told to set his relationship status and can't bring himself to admit he's alone, and news of a fire several blocks from Aiden's place becomes Amy's excuse to check on him. In the final round both are sealed in glass booths with a famous breakup ballad and a slice of carrot cake; Julian sobs into the cake and Amy wins, but her prize is Aiden himself, and when she throws her arms around him the host declares she has failed the last test. Aiden leaves with Melanie, Amy retreats to the cake, and the host admits the game was never winnable before signing off with a plea of his own to his ex.
