Quotes

This isn't a bar, it's a diner. We serve food here.
One. One-cent hamburgers.
I'd like a hundred hamburgers.

Synopsis

Ricky has quit show business and gone into the diner trade with Fred, but the partnership sours and the two couples divide the counter in half: the Ricardos' 'A Little Bit of Cuba' on one side and the Mertzes' 'A Big Hunk of America' on the other. When a wobbly drunk wanders in looking for a bar, both sides pounce on him, undercutting each other's hamburger prices a penny at a time until Ethel is practically giving them away. The customer's grand order goes unfilled, the insults over whose meat is better start flying, and so do the cream pies, until the partners are dripping with cream and laughing behind the counter.
