The premise

Here’s the bit.

Denise begs Mike to reconsider ending their relationship, but her panic has an unusual cause: each breakup brings Patti LaBelle into her home to sing. Mike is delighted by the unexpected concert while Denise tries to send the star away. The performance expands to include background singers, and Denise explains that past breakups have produced the same exhausting ritual. Once she finally joins the song, the visitors disappear. Mike then tries to rekindle the relationship, but Denise has found the confidence to show him the door.
