My nephew bought me a smartphone for Chritmas

Drunk Uncle makes his second appearance on Weekend Update to discuss his New Year's resolutions. He launches into a rambling monologue about how far five dollars used to go back in the day (buying a hotdog, bread, milk, cigarettes, and a television), complains that his nephew bought him a smartphone for "Chritmas" but it's not smart enough to get him a driver's license ("If it's sooo smart why can't I get a drivers license?... REAGAN!"), rants about having to "press one for English," mentions wanting to "kindle" his boyfriend, and declares his New Year's resolution is to watch the damn Vikings game despite Gloria's objections. Throughout the appearance, he exhibits typical drunk behavior including confused rambling, backward cigarettes, and his signature complaints about modern life, technology, and cultural changes.

This is the second appearance of the Drunk Uncle character on SNL (first appeared December 3, 2011). The character was created by Bobby Moynihan to make his friend, comedian Chris Gethard, laugh. Drunk Uncle is portrayed as a stereotypical middle-aged blue-collar American exterminator who is married and has six kids and several nieces and nephews. The character became one of Bobby Moynihan's most beloved recurring characters during his SNL tenure (2008-2017). The episode was delayed due to the Lions-Saints football game. Character catchphrase: "Immigrants!"
