A young man (Keegan-Michael Key) returns home for Thanksgiving to share exciting news about his engagement and upcoming wedding in Hawaii. However, his abrasive older brother Clive (Jordan Peele) systematically undermines every piece of good news with jealous negativity. Clive criticizes everything from the economy class flight tickets to claiming the fiancée's photo is "airbrushed," all while disrespectfully talking back to their mother. The visual comedy is enhanced by Clive's appearance - balding with a terrible combover, wearing a grim reaper t-shirt, and eating pizza from a box while the rest of the family enjoys a proper Thanksgiving dinner. Clive claims to have been "taking care of Mom and Dad for 15 years" while clearly being an unemployed, bitter man-child living at home. The sketch perfectly captures toxic sibling rivalry and family dysfunction during the holidays.
