THREE TIMES! YOU WEREN’T HERE. HE DID IT THREE TIMES.
HOW COULD YOU THINK THAT THIS WAS A STOOL?!?
NO. NO ONE HELP HIM!!!
No, let him fix this one himself!

A man (Jay Johnston) attempts to tell his parents the story of his harrowing expedition to the top of Mount Everest. However, his story is constantly interrupted as he repeatedly stumbles and falls, each time destroying a large, intricate display of thimbles his mother has lovingly arranged. The sketch's humor comes from its repetition and the escalating frustration of the characters and the studio audience.

The sketch is a fan favorite and is known for its long setup times between takes, which is said to have frustrated the live audience. This is mentioned in Bob Odenkirk's memoir and is a topic of discussion in the YouTube comments.
