A man (Jay Johnston) attempts to tell his parents the story of his harrowing expedition to the top of Mount Everest. However, his story is constantly interrupted as he repeatedly stumbles and falls, each time destroying a large, intricate display of thimbles his mother has lovingly arranged. The sketch's humor comes from its repetition and the escalating frustration of the characters and the studio audience.
