In a parody of the cooking show "The French Chef," Julia Child (Dan Aykroyd) attempts to show the audience how to properly bone a chicken. She accidentally cuts her finger badly, and as she bleeds profusely, she calmly tries to stop the bleeding using various kitchen items as a tourniquet, all while continuing her cooking demonstration.

The real Julia Child reportedly loved this sketch and would show it to friends at parties. The sketch is also said to be based on a real incident where she cut her hand before a show.
