Mr. Tyzik, a bitter and resentful man, finds solace in using forced perspective to crush the heads of people he dislikes with his thumb and forefinger. In this sketch, the Head Crusher takes on Wall Street, crushing the heads of businessmen.
The character of the Head Crusher, Mr. Tyzik, was created by Mark McKinney and was a recurring character on the show. The idea for the character came from McKinney's childhood habit of squinting through his fingers. The sketch became a fan favorite and was one of the few recurring sketches that Lorne Michaels encouraged the troupe to continue.
