A man visits an argument clinic seeking a professional argument. After accidentally entering the "abuse" room where Mr. Barnard hurls insults at him, he finds the correct office where he engages in a shallow, contradictory back-and-forth exchange with Mr. Vibrating. The argument consists mostly of petty "is/isn't" contradictions rather than intellectual debate. The man becomes frustrated that he's not getting what he paid for, leading to arguments about the definition of argument itself and whether he's paid for enough time. He then explores other absurd services in the clinic including a complaints room (where the proprietor complains) and being-hit-on-the-head lessons. The sketch ends when Scotland Yard detectives intervene, arresting everyone for participating in a confusing sketch, leading to a meta-comedy moment.
