A man plays some country tunes for his new neighbor, but they disagree about the music's subtext. In this sketch, a white man (Key) enthusiastically plays a series of country songs on his banjo for his new black neighbor (Peele), who becomes increasingly uncomfortable as he realizes the songs contain racist undertones. The white man remains oblivious to the offensive nature of the lyrics, while the black neighbor tries to point out the problematic subtext.

Well, I'm just a good old american boy / With a heart that's red, white, and true / I'm dreamin' of the girl with the red hair and freckles / And her eyes like the skies of blue / Keep her safe from the homies in the wrong side of town / Where they're smokin' the reefer and acting like clowns / Keep that pretty white dress from getting dirty and brown / 'Cause that's the American way
Now I see it, now I see it
