What Really Happened To Abe Lincoln

See more Lincoln

A comedic reimagining of Abraham Lincoln's time at Ford's Theatre. During a bizarre theatrical production involving vampires (described as "Vampire Hamlet" with a white Othello), John Wilkes Booth sits with his wife in the audience and grows increasingly frustrated with President Lincoln, who keeps loudly heckling and yelling at the actors onstage from his balcony box. In this version, instead of shooting Lincoln, Booth repeatedly assaults him with various objects including a phone book, an orange, his shoe, and even throws Lincoln's iconic stovepipe hat off the balcony. Lincoln constantly calls for his security guard while trying to enjoy the play in peace with his wife Mary. The sketch features stage actors walking in circles throughout the performance, which becomes part of the absurdist comedy.
