During a family reunion breakfast at Disney World's "Mickey's Breakfast Jamboree," gloomy Debbie Downer (Rachel Dratch) repeatedly dispirits the McKusick family from Ohio by bringing up depressing current events and morbid topics. While her family tries to enjoy their magical Disney vacation, Debbie constantly interjects with downers about mad cow disease, the Siegfried & Roy tiger attack, a train explosion in North Korea, terrorist attacks, feline AIDS, and her own infertility. Each depressing statement is punctuated by a sad trombone "wah-wah" sound effect. The sketch became instantly iconic not just for the character and concept, but because the entire cast broke character throughout, laughing uncontrollably. This sketch has been listed among SNL's best and most memorable moments, ranking #99 on TV Land's "Top 100 Most Unexpected Moments in TV History."
