The Loud Family

Two young men, Rick Phillips and Kevin, arrive to pick up the Loud family daughters Jean and Joan for dates. They quickly discover that every member of the Loud family speaks extremely loudly, making private conversations impossible. The sketch parodies the 1973 PBS documentary series "An American Family" which featured the real Loud family and is considered one of the first reality TV shows. In the sketch, the family's loud conversations include discussing a deceased daughter, the parents having sex upstairs (heard by everyone), the dates trying to smoke marijuana, and a police officer arriving to ask them to quiet down. The humor centers on Rick's bewilderment at the family's volume while Kevin is prepared with ear mufflers.

WELL, IM GLAD YOU GIRLS ARE FINALLY GETTING DATES. YOU KNOW, YOURE BOTH GOOD LOOKING, INTELLIGENT GIRLS. I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY BOYS HAVING BEEN FLOCKING AROUND THE DOOR.
