After saving Middle-earth, Bilbo (Martin Freeman), Gandalf (Bobby Moynihan), Gollum (Taran Killam), Legolas (Kyle Mooney) and Tauriel (Kate McKinnon) take up office jobs. This mashup parody combines The Hobbit with the UK version of The Office, featuring Freeman reprising both his role as Bilbo Baggins from The Hobbit trilogy and his character Tim Canterbury from the original UK Office series in a brilliant meta-sketch. The sketch opens with Bilbo explaining how after his heroic quest, he now works at a paper company selling paper "memes of the phone" and drives a Jetta. The sketch features classic Office-style pranks (ring in jelly instead of stapler), awkward workplace moments, uncomfortable dancing, and romantic tension between Bilbo and an elf colleague, all while maintaining the Middle-earth setting with orcs as coworkers and ending with giant spiders breaching the parking lot.
